No matter how many times airports, governments, travel agents and airlines tell travelers to get to the airport early, there will always be those who blatantly ignore the advise. You know the ones who scream at parking attendants when they find the garage is full. Or those who are in such a panic to reach the check in counter within the last remaining seconds of the check in window that they fight with their partners and hit the backs of your caves as they try to will the line to move faster. Possibly, you are this person. I can now admit that I myself used to be, but eventually I got stung enough times to learn my lesson. In fact, it ended up costing me a small fortune when I missed my flight during the Iceland debacle and was stranded for a full four days at Gatwick. I guess it took a big kick in the butt like that to set me straight. But I tell you this in hopes that if you are that later arriver that you will try harder to leave earlier for your flights, because it really can make one hell of a difference.
